16 Sep Meter&Control adopts ISO 45001 system
As part of our continuous pursuit of the latest standards and management systems, Meter&Control has successfully completed the ISO 45001 certification, the new standard on occupational health and safety (OHSAS). ISO 45001 replaces the previous OHSAS 18001 and brings significant advances to this crucial element of our company’s operations.
ISO 45001 now establishes a proactive approach to health and safety by incorporating these policies into the overall organizational system with stronger role of the management which becomes leaders in safety and in continuous interaction with employees. On the other hand, employees receive training and education on how to identify potential risks and help creating an efficient protection programme in form of internal audits, risk assessments and continuous monitoring which are open to all employees and their inputs. Finally, ISO 45001 follows a preventative process, which requires hazard risks to be evaluated and remedied, as opposed to hazard control, under OHSAS 18001.
Under ISO 45001 system, the responsibility for the health and safety management lies on everyone in the organization. It is the proactive participation of our entire company in building a culture of safety and the framework which brings Meter&Control on a new level in protection of employees and of their workplace.
